Man. I thought I saw Charlotte the other day, man.

She’s fine, man. Askin’ after ye, man.

Cos I embarrassed her the other night, man. I was steamin’, man. I smacked that guy who was trying to chat her up, man.
She’ll forgive you, man.
I dunno about that, man.

Sure, man.
I mean it, don’t hesitate, man.
I won’t, man.
Any time of day or night. I’m yer man, man.
I’ll see, man. I’m a bit brassed off the now, man. Not sure I can bothered with all that, man.
Hey, man up, man.
Oh fuck off, man.
That’s no’ very nice, man.
Sorry, man. Been busy lately, man. Might phone my dad, see how he’s getting on, man.
Good plan, man.
Speak to you soon, man.

About the Author
Pat Black is a thirtysomething writer, journalist and bletherer, born and raised in Glasgow. He says he has made that difficult transition from aspiring novelist to failed novelist, although he has had a couple of short stories published. He’s the author of Snarl, a completed novel about a monster that tries to mount the Houses of Parliament. Holyrood emerges unscathed, for now.
