The first two have been penned by old romantic Alasdair McPherson. Flight takes us back to the time of the Highland Clearances and proves that true love can conquer all obstacles. Set in modern-day Corfu, Real Friends is a familiar tale of the lows and highs of that holiday romance. Alasdair says that both stories were influenced by the style of The People’s Friend. Well, why not?
Our third offering is called Boab saves ri day. Written by Angus Shoor Caan in his wonderful North Ayrshire dialect, it certainly hasn’t been influenced by The People’s Friend. However, it does have a happy ending – for the reader, anyway.
Coming next, the perfect antidote to happy endings – drama from Andrew McCallum Crawford, a master of the genre.
